The Province of BC has implemented the Jury Management System from Courthouse Technologies. As part of the contract with the Province of British Columbia, CHT made a number of changes to meet the needs of the BC Courts. We are pleased with the JMS product and the support we received from CHT during the implementation. This year, we implemented the eResponse module that would allow potential jurors to complete summonses using a web based application. Over 30% of summonses were completed over the internet in the first month and we expect 50-60% in future. The eResponse product reduced the manual effort required by Sheriffs to receive data and enter and respond to summonses. I recommend the JMS product and CHT support.

Prior to implementing Courthouse Technologies scanning solution, our jury clerks spent numerous hours manually entering phone numbers and reviewing jury summons. Courthouse Technologies scanning solution has nearly eliminated the need to manually enter routine information such as phone numbers. Since building the new master wheel, we have scanned approximately 15,000 master wheel questionnaires in a 10 day period with an accuracy rate of nearly 100 percent. Because of the optical mark technology being used, our processing time has been reduced by an estimated 30 to 40 percent. We no longer have a large volume of questionnaires that are considered "unscannable" and need manual processing. The overall efficiency of our jury operations has been streamlined by utilizing Courthouse Technologies scanning solution and has allowed our jury clerks to be more productive.
